Cool look into making kitchen knives (videos)

Found these two videos floating around Youtube.

They do a very nice job in showing how a kitchen knife is made. Great for guys starting out to see some of the processes involved. Just thought i'd share.

I tried to imbed with the code they gave me and just ended up with a big ol mess!

This video actually covers alot of bases. It shows profiling, grinding, handle shaping and he answers some basic questions with a good personality. It's one of the longer knifemaking videos on youtube.

I love his designs. The handle he makes looks super comfortable. Love the shot of him slicing that garlic.

I saw another youtube video of someone using one of his knives to cut an onion. That knife sailed through. Looked too easy.

I hope every new aspiring maker gets to see this video. It's helped me with my own knifemaking. Having a visual cuts down on some of the learning curve. I've picked up alot from watching it.
