Cool new Find

saltwater is about 3% salt with some variations in location and temperature of water.

If you guys would just give up and switch to metric like a good commies I could tell you how much to add, as it stands you're on your own. but 3 grams a letre for the rest of the world.

Now that's funny, I don't care who you are! :D

I have to say this one helluva generous offer from Tony. I have no use for them since I don't go on the ocean or anywhere around it, but I have wanted to write one up in SWAT for some time now. Does anyone know how much salt I have to add to a gallon of water to simulate sea water for testing purposes?

:D maybe when we do the giveaway ,I like to see it go to someone who will use it . if the units work.... if not Jeff your Trash can is good as mine

Yes water activated.... and have a inflatable roll bar looking thing with a cool looking canopy, and some other doo dads as well

I was just wondering if your buddy knows how to deactivate said beacon. Wouldn't opening the raft signal somebody?

as to the salt issue, I would second the suggestion to ask at the pet store, and then, use canning or pickling salt, as it is just salt, no iodine or anything in it.

Edit: Can I have the flare gun? Also you know that "legally" you stole that kit. But dont worry, we wont report you. ;)

When I used to work on salt water aquarium tanks, we used a hydrometer and shot for a specific gravity of around 1.020 - 1.025.

But for your purposes, 3% aught do it.;)

Not so. Once the kit becomes the property of the impound yard where he is working or what-not, the kit is fair game provided whoever is in charge doesn't say no.

Tony's a professional thief. Didn't you guys know that? :D

Excellent score. Pretty cool of you to offer it up for a drawing, not many people would do that for free

people are dumb.... try to save a few dollars to make it to the next airport where fuel maybe .05-.10 cents cheaper and kill or injury there family by running out of fuel....... I seen alot of families wiped out or maimed

In aviation that's what we call the "Killer Penny", Same goes for the survival kits and especially the Firs Aid Kits that I find on most private or leased airplanes, it's so cheap and ineffective that'll kill you faster than if you hadn't used it.

The aircraft salvage industry, that's interesting do you have a website ?
Before, back in Europe I was in the restauration industry and often we rebuilt GA planes salvaged from Africa. (weirdest was a Cessna 170 that we took from a preschool in France that was all painted up by the kids, 8 months it took us before it flew).

RAT Pack #75

I thought the aircraft and anything in it still belonged to the owner, but didnt know the owner was the salvage yard. I am stoopid.):
