I love making things out of paracord...it has quickly become a new hobby. That is very cool and way out of league. Very impressive, thanks for the post!

couple of new ones that I finished up recently. A 5, a 6 and an 8 footer

finished up a couple this morning. the green, yellow and gray is 7.5 feet long and the purple/black one is a 5 footer.

I'm starting to get pretty good with these things. I was picking leaves off a tree the other day......well , most of the time

I agree 100%.

That all black is looking real nice.

Now that's Tacticool! :D

Great work my friend, you sure got some talent there.

thanks for all the kind words :D

I'm really hooked on making these things now. Every now and again I run out of cord and I go stir crazy not having something to plait.

I'm getting faster all the time, but they are still tedious. It all depends on the length of the whip and what pattern is on the handle. On average I'd say anywhere between 10-13 hours.

Tan and black work really well together (IMO) and I had a few requests for those colors in different lengths. I like 'em, but I'm anxious to move on to another color after doing 3 almost identical ones.

Those are very nice. I actually learned how to plait bullwhips a while back and ended up working with paracord. I eventually learned that my hands could not take the strain of making the whips. I made a total of 5 whips. One 10ft (my preferred length) 2 8ft and 2 6ft. All have since been given away and all are still being used. To anyone who can make whips, you have my respect.

Rhett Kelley makes some awesome whips. He's actually been extremely helpful to me and has answered a lot of the questions I've had regarding construction methods. He also makes some gorgeous handles from exotic woods for those who make their own whips, or would like a fancier handle for the cow whip they already have. I have a couple and they are absolutely top notch.

@ Ednemo-- It is quite hard on the hands when first starting out. I've got callouses on top of callouses these days from plaiting nylon. I had to take time off between whips just to let the blisters heal, but now I'm totally hooked. I'd love to see a picture or two of the whips you've made if it's possible.

haven't posted any new pics in a little while, so here's a pair I just shipped out this past weekend :D
