I am new to the internet and am tired of blindly searching around. If anyone has some cool sites that they use let us all know. No porn please. Not that I have a problem with it,but my kids use this computer also. I think this could be a great thread if it works. Thanks alot..GRUNT. :D

One of the coolest sites I know is http://ixquick.com/ Type in any topic you're interested in and scan down the list for a website that deals with it. It's like Google but without the pages and pages of repetitious entries.

I don't know how old your kids are but if they're using the computer, they might like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page Wikipedia, an interactive encyclopedia that's actually being written by its readers. Very peculiar system, but it seems to work. There is a great deal of information onsite about this. The also have a dictionary and many entries in other languages.

wikipedia is good.

My site, http://celtek.org has a lot of links on it to other things. I don't make any money from you going there, so please don't feel I'm trying to solicit. I just know *I* use it to store all the links I use.

You should just do a Google.com search of things that you are interested in, like if you like knives, search for "blade forums", "knife forums" whatever.

So what kinds of things are you interested in? Then we can help you out more. Oh your local newspaper may have a website that you can check out.
