I have a coworker who's son is 19 years old and serving overseas. He has had some rough times overthere and has even had to shoot someone and his mental stability is shaky right now for obvious reasons.....SO

I grabbed one of my beater knives and took it to work and told her to send this to him with his next care package. It was on my mind to do that for a while, but I never did.

She just told me Monday that he received the knife. I asked what he thought and she said that there were a few guys in his area that had hand made knives. BUT.....he said...

"Momma, there's aint like mine!!!"

That was the best responce I could have hoped for :)

Here is the one I sent him.

That was VERY NICE of you too...

That was a really kind thing for you to do Brian. That will boost his spirits, he'll get back in the groove over there pretty soon. He's doing a good job.

very good of you sir, im sure it is recognized for what it is by those boys. am i mistaken or have i read about some kind of program to donate a knife to the men in uniform? im finally feeling real confident in my blades and would love to follow your lead in giving someone a nice carry piece.

Cool utility, it's sure to come in handy in the sandbox. It's good of you to send it, and it's very valuable to the guys on the ground to know they've got our support.

Very nice gesture Brian  I'll bet it put a smile on his face that hasn't left to this day ;)
