Cool stuff you have that others likely DO NOT....

I have an old butcher case my grandparents kept books in for years just for these types of things. I have it full of odds and ends. Gifts, things my kids made me, found bones, etc. I have gifted much of it away, but have boxes more in storage.

A shelf and lamp I made and managed to keep for my wife. Everything else I've made is long gone.

That fob is from the Reactor Safety Keys of the #4 plant on USS Enterprise (CVN-65) circa 1990. I was the last guy to have a reactor up and critical before the start of the last refueling and got this as my souvenir.

Hi Eric!

Great Thread!

Below are a few images of mine made with computer software when I was at university around 10 years ago..... No real point to them just experimenting.

WOW!

There is some really cool stuff in this thread.

Thanks to everyone for keeping it going.

I've got a couple more so I'll post some more later. Keep digging, I'm sure that there is more out there.

Eric

Okay, did a little research on this and it isn't that rare but it is still interesting.
It is a "Copper Clad Crank Club" medallion, supposed to be good luck (probably more so if it doesn't have a hole drilled in it ;) )
Made in the late 1800's or early 1900's (before the swastika was associated with the Nazi's it was a symbol of good luck), it has several "good luck" symbols on it.
I've had it since I was 8 or so and probably to this day my brother will tell you it is his ;)

This thread is awesome! There are so many unique items  Thanks for sharing :D

no photos but I have my great grandfathers army dress hat, and his purple heart, along with the western union telegraph stating he was killed in the battle of the bulge. Also have my other grandfathers purple heart where he was injured when a kamikaze pilot hit their ship, he fell 3 stories through the ship i believe and spent about a year in the hospital but survived and made a full recovery and went on to have a family and work till he died back in 2007. I have their purple hearts next to mine kinda as a reminder as of what my family has went through for this country. Kinda cool seeing 3 purple hearts side by side. My step dad was in vietnam but came back unharmed, My real dad was killed when i was very young , so i wanted to follow in their footsteps and serve as well. When I get a chance I'll post some pics of some of the stuff mentioned in the thread, Also have some Saddam money somewhere but it''s buried deep in my junk room If i can find it ill post pics of that as well.

It looks to be 22 caliber. I've had several offers from friends to buy it. Probably wont sell it.

I posted this in the What are you listening to? thread but it kinda fitts just as well in here .. It is the rarest test pressing from AC/DC.. Lets just say it would take a quite a few TTKZ and MOABS to make me let it go.. By the way any record collectors in the Busse gang??

This was my Grandfathers hunting rig, 30-40 Krag, High Standard H-D Military and a very early unmarked Rudy Ruana knife. He gave me the knife when I started hunting at age 12 (41 years ago) and it's been a life long companion. The guns were left to me when he passed.
