Cool titanium stuff!

The 1 qt. Gatorade bottle fits neatly in the Snow Peak Trek 700 cup. Stainless lid? Agreed, whatever possessed them to make it out of thick, heavy stainless? Aluminum would have been fine for a lid.

On the handles getting hot, this is a problem, though small. When heating water in this cup, I wait till a boil, and then remove the windscreen. Any slight wind allows the handles to cool off in half a minute flat. Or have a cotton sock on your hand when impatiently reaching for the handles?

I would not have used that surplus canteen cup all these years if I had had that Snow Peak cup earlier.

I can't speak regarding the new MSR EXO stuff, but the last gen [still available] MSR titan stuff is pretty sweet:

I have this set and it nestles two pots and is designed to nestle a butane canister and a small stove too [e.g. MSR windpro]. The MSR titan stuff is definitely a higher-quality IMHO [as I own both] than the snowpeak ti solo cookset. If you can find a 2 litre MSR titan pot [discontinued recently] the 2 pot titan set [above] nestles inside that. All works as a pretty sweet expandable system. Keep in mind that ti pots are usually pretty thin so you have to be careful with them [to some degree] and they're not the best for preparing fine cuisine in the backcountry.

Snow Peak 1.4 l pot, coffee mug, and stove w/auto ignite. Tent pegs for my Tarptent.
