I think Bladeforums.com is cool! I have learned more about knives by reading the postings in one night than I ever knew. Yeah, okay so I'm a rookie!

Welcome to BFC Sam1! For a real kick, try searching the archives as well. The collected wisdom here is awesome, with some of the top makers and manufacturers in the business posting here, not to mention so many experienced collectors, users and just plain lovers of knives. It can be a rollercoaster but it's a heck of a ride. If you haven't checked out the shopforum, I highly recommend it.

Sam, welcome to the Forums.
Some of us that have been around for awhile often forget what a great resource this place is and start to take everything for grandted. For a FNG, just getting settled in and keeping up with the current posts only to find there's years of posts to search through must be overwhelming.
Thanks for reminding me. Take your shoes off, sit a while, enjoy yourself.

I'd suggest locking your wallet with all your cash, credit cards, etc. in a safe and throwing the combination out before you proceed with reading.

Last night my wife said "are you coming to bed?". "Just a few more minutes", I replied. Two hours later I got to the point where my eyes wouldn't focus anymore so I quit for the night. Lots of good info in the archives. I think that I have my "mad money" spent for the next few years. Now if I can just convince my wife that these are things I "need".........
