Hey guys.......had an idea for a new belt knife, so I went ahead and made up 2 of them. This is a good piece for someone who doesn't like a heavy knife on their belt. This knife is very light in weight, has an at home feel in your hand, and cuts like a razor. Check them out, and as always, comments are apreciated.

Specs:

OAL is 7"
Blade length is 3-3/16"
Blade width is about 7/8"
Blade thickness is 1/8"
ground from 52100 and edge quenched
Etched to reveal temper line and hand finished to 1000 grit
Black G-10/Brass/Red fiber/Ivory spacers
Curly Maple handle
Tooled 9 oz leather pouch sheath included

up again for another once over. This knife has genuine ivory spacers and really nice curly maple for the handle. These are a pleasure to carry and use because of the light weight and that 52100 is a real cutter. This knife has to be experienced to be appreciated fully, and my pictures don't do it justice.

This showed up---not that it's ANY surprise coming from Lamont but this little knife is neat as hell. Workmanship is superb and the blade geometry on this makes it an absolute scalpel. Thanks as always, Lamont :cool:

That is a beautiful knife, I really love the handle, almost looks like koa. Did you stain it dark or did it come that way?
 
tomh, I use a dye of water and pertasium permangenate. You can get that stuff at places that sell water treatment supplies. It's very agressive as a dye too btw. Wear gloves or for the next week you'll have brown hands. lol
