Here's something new. This was inspired by a Randall Model 11. This knife is very easy to overgrip the guard and still have perfect control, and the back of the blade as well as the choil cutout are fully radiused for comfort. The knife has a neutral balance any way you grip it and is super sharp also. This will make someone a really useful outdoor knife for hunting, hiking, camping, ect.
Check out the specs below and enjoy the pics.
Thanks for looking!

Specs:
Blade: 3/16" thick ATS-34 Stainless Steel RC-59/60
Finish: 1000 Grit Hand Rub
Grind: Sloping Hollow Grind
OAL: 8 1/4"

Guard: 416 Stainless

great looking blade. Excellent attention to detail, and an interesting choice of steel.

I have used a Randall Made #11 Alaskan Skinner as my main field dressing and skinning knife for some 20+ years now.
The design is soooooooo close to perfect. :)

It may have been inspired by the #11 but it also surpassed it. Very nice

Another beauty, Lamont. You put your stamp on a classic design, pulled it off and made it your own. Congratulations! Gorgeous sheath, too.

I don't collect that type of knife.
It costs too much.
I wasn't going to buy any knives this year.

I'll take it.

Everything about it is right, down to the soldered finger guard.
Is the acorn nut loktited?
What is the heat treat, temper, and hardness? Ignore that.

PP on the way.
Thank you.

Hey lawp, great post ! and a great knife too eh ! impossible to pass up so forgive yourself.
Man, $200 less than a Randall, maybe even a better knife, and no 5 year wait.
Lamont, i love my # 7. please keep making Randallesque knives. i'll probably buy another, different pattern.

Lawp, Hey thanks man! Yes, the nut is epoxied on and firmly in place. It feels good to know that after saying that you weren't going to buy any knives this year, it was my knife that turned your head. Thanks again!

Thanks to the rest of you guys that commented!

I don't carry any of my collection of 60 custom hunters. I have a Randall, which I don't carry because it is "almost a custom." Yours might be the first custom I carry because it is too good to leave at home.

That is one of the best packages I've seen , love to see some Randall inspired in the B & T ---------- great knife

I'm bummed I missed this one. By far one of my favorites I've seen on the makers board. Well done!

Thanks for the compliments!

I have (1) Randall style B & T available. Same knife as Rowlands but with all stacked leather handle. If you, or anyone are interested, I'm selling it for $265.00. I haven't gotten around to posting it yet.

Somebody please buy Lamont's other B&T because i'm tempted to, but i've spent way too much on customs in last few days. would make a nice pair though. well balanced knife, very light in the hand. excellent for field dressing deer too.
