I call this knife a fancy dress knife because it's not the kind of knife you'd wear everyday, but rather a knife for when you dress up to go out, or for special occasions. The knife is elegant, small but usefull, razor sharp, and ready to work when the need is there. The raised filework on the back adds a bit of grip to it as well as just being nice to look at. The cross draw sheath works well when sitting and will stand out in style with the frog inlays.
Check out the specs and pics, and as always, comments are more than welcome.
Thanks!

Specs:

Hollow Ground from 1/8" thick ATS34 Stainless Steel
Mirror Polished
OAL 6-1/8"
Blade Length 2-1/8" of cutting edge (2-1/2" tip to bolsters)
416 Stainless Bolsters and Pins
Stabilized Giraffe Bone Handle Scales
Rope Filework tip to butt
Comes with Cross Draw Pouch Sheath with Frog Inlays

Sold

As always, the first "I'll take it" gets it.

I accept Paypal and Postal Money Orders.

Please send PP and questions to: theknifemaker@hotmail.com

I think all of your knives are fancy dress knives....lol. I always look forward to seeing your work here.

Lamont, this is another elegant, superbly executed knife that shows the wide range of your creative ability. Small fancy FB's are my favorite of all FB's. I regret that i am not in a postion to claim it right now.

Lamont I think you must lay awake nights Thinking of new knives to take my money. Man I like the whole package. I'm sorely tempted.

Lamont, just want to say that some of us would carry it every day and use it outside cutting dirty stuff. When you really love a knife you want it with you much of the time. Nothing wrong with using an elegant knife hard, getting it dirty and eventually scratched up and re-sharpened. That's what good sharp knives are for. Display the ones that don't work or cut as well.
Just so's you know, eh.

Awesome stuff.

I love the size and proportions, I love the pin arrangement, and I love the filework. Oh, and I love the sheath as well.

If I could offer one point of constructive criticism it would be that I find the maker's mark to be a bit big on this small a blade. It just feels like the mark claims an unreasonable amount of space on the knife, if that makes sense.

Awesome stuff.

EDIT: Coombs, I went to check out your website to take a look at some of your other work, but it's "expired on 04/07/2012 and is pending renewal or deletion". Do you have another site now, or will this be up again soon?

My friend,
Knives like this one are the finest example of why after being a 14 yr military vet I'm finished w collecting tactical production knives and moving into replacing them w customs. I've been making lists of makers and their knives I will be investing in one by one as I've already began my venture. When it's time for a true gentlemans knife I'll be contacting you. Thank you for the beautiful contribution.

C'mon Ben - step forth with gusto - what are gonna do - stuff your money in your coffin??!!! You haven't bought a knife from me for two weeks or so, so I know you've got the moolah laying around. :D

Thanks to everyone for the most kind words. Hopefully we'll find a good home for this one soon.
