Hello All,
As you may know, Fellow Knifemaker Scott Tanguay own and operate Downeast Knife Company together. Well, we've made alot of changes over the last year, and now we're gearing up for another winters worth of knife projects. We've brought alot of our processes in-house so we can more closely control fit, finish, attention to detail, and costs. We have several new designs that will be coming out sometime in early '09. We are currently working towards a catalog that shows and describes our line in detail. We have 5 definates, and a few possibilities that we're still hammering out the details on. These will all be custom handmade knives and sheaths made by the two of us together here in Downeast Maine. There should be something for everyone in our new line!

This little necker is one of the knives I recently designed that Scott has given his approval to. I wanted to make one to see what you all think of them before we go into a full scale production. As this is not an official DKC project yet, this knife bears my logo. If we decide to go into production on this knife, all of those will have the DKC logo. Until then, I have only this (1) knife for sale.

Thanks for looking! Comments very much appreciated.
Lamont

I bought a 5" hunter from Lamont in 2000 or 2001 at the Northeast Knife Collectors Knife Show. It is very nice. A beautiful Treestump Leather sheath comes with it. What a good maker.
