Just got this one done. Its been on my work bench for about 3 years now, so I'm quite happy to finally have it out the door. I'm making this for one of my local collectors and I'm sure he'll be happy to finally be getting it also. Most likely this knife will be going out for some scrimshaw soon. If that happens, I'll update with more pics.

Very Nice, very hice indeed! I like the complement of the bolsters to the frog skin inlay, flows great!
 
The combination of line and texture is excellent. Beautiful workmanship.:thumbup:

nice job!! That's a purdy one. Great lines and continuation of the reptillian theme throughout.
 
I love how the grind of the knife and the damascus pattern complement each other.
Just the grind is impressive, but by aligning the center-line with the damascus pattern, WOW!
 
I have to agree with kimsalls, the damascus pattern lines up perfectly. Besides the top notch fit and finish the choice of materials is out of this world. Did you make the sheath? Whoever made it really did a great job continuing the knife patterns into the sheath. Great package! That's MS work to me.

That knife is crazy cool.

There is not a single thing on that knife that does not support the theme established by the sheath. I can immagine a fellow drawing that blade and a ray of light piercing the clouds illuminating it as he states "Behold, fear my froggy wrath"
The file work is incredible, the pattern is out of this world, and it is executed so cleanly.

That is a blade to be proud of, you did very well my friend:thumbup:

Thanks Mark! I do design and do my own leather work. I feel that especially with the art pieces, there should be "flow", and the best way for me to get exactly what I want is to do it myself. Plus, leather work is relaxing to me and it gets me out of the shop for a while.

That knife is SICK!!!! (in a good way)

The only flaw I can see is that it's not in my collection.
 
I don't care if it took 3 years ... every moment was worth it. I've not seen any dagger I liked better than this one.:thumbup:
