Hey there guys.....Been away working on orders for awhile, but I finally got something new for you to look at today.
I have been making these cheff knives for one of my customers for some time now, so I thought I'd post one and see what everyone thinks.

This knife has a 8 5/8" blade, with 8 1/4" of cutting edge.
It's fully flat ground from ATS-34 Stanless stock 3/32" thick.
The handle is Stabilized Maple Burl and is attached with stainless Loveless style bolts.
The back of the handle is fileworked with a vine pattern.
Also, this knife will come with a simple leather sheath to store it in

This one is sold. Thanks!

paypal and M.O. accepted. PP to angel_kissed_me@yahoo.com (please note the underscores between the words.)

Someone please jump on this.....Lamonts work is second to none. You will be more than satisfied....I am sure of it!

A great looker and user i bet.

Being constructive,

The file work.............will gunk etc get caught up in there ? (i imagine it would look better without it too imo).

Tim

Thanks guys! About the filework, there shouldn't be anything so "gunky" get in there that you can't clean it out with a toothbrush once in a while. Besides, my intent for this knife was for a special occasion knife for someone particular about their cutlery, and not so much for the guy looking for a knife to cut wild boar steaks on a treestump in the middle of a swamp on a camping trip. That knife I would have put micarta on and left the filework off for sure.

What a fantastic buy this is. It is painful that I am so broke right now. Beautiful knife and despite your special occasion comment, I bet this knife would make a lovely daily user in a home kitchen. If you look at all the expensive kitchen knives that are out there and look at the fit of bolsters etc and you will notice that the filework on this knife is less food catching then the gaps in the bolsters on other high end expensive factory knives. If you use it like a good kitchen knife and clean it after every use. ie a good rinse and wipe you shouldnt have need to worry about food in it. Beautiful work Mr. Coombs.

Thanks Bhamster.....I agree with you about the fit and finish of some of the other "high end" factory knives that are available, and some more costly than my custom. Thanks again Bhamster, I very much apreciate your comments.

What a great knife. The bejeweled filework/handle combo looks amazing; and Lamon't heat treat of ATS-34 wins knife chopping competitions. If I wasn't searching the back of my cabinet for rice grains, I'd get this. Beautiful. and the price is almost insultingly low (for Lamont).

My God, Tim, what a beautiful knife. Thank you, Wallace, for saving my bank account! Tim, keep them coming, my friend!
