Hey guys.....It was a nice day today so I decided to take a hike up to a place I shoot sometimes and burn a couple mags through my socom. When I got back I had the idea to take a couple shots of this chopper I made a little while ago. I designed this knife to do some of the chores you'd do with a machete, but at the same time be useful for camp projects. It has a few features that aren't visable in the pictures I took. I realized after I took them that I should have taken one of the back of the sheath to show how the tie down attaches. I'll try and remember to take a pic of that later on so you all can see that, but basically I made a tab and sewed it to the back pannel of the sheath. On that there are 2 brass eyelets that the cord passes through. Also, just beneath that, there is an eyelet that is used as a drain hole. One other feature is that the retianing strap is removable. Some people like to remove it and use a piece of paracord to lash the knife into the sheath if they are going to attach the knife to a pack instead of wearing it on the belt. This way branches can't unsnap the strap and the knife be lost on the move. I just like to have options with my gear. Oh, one last thing......the heat treating of this blade is a little different than any I have offered before. It is differentially heat treated, but done so that the blade is 57/58 RC for the first 3/4 of it's length starting at the tip, and gets moderately hard at the ricasso, then soft in the tang area. I have been experimenting with this a little and this is the first one I have done to sell. It will make a blade that is a bit more durable than one that is hard for it's entire length.
Well, I guess I have rambled on long enough. Check out the pics and specs and as always, comments are more than welcome.

Lamont, what kind of tang does it have?

The tang is about 2/3 the length of the handle and has a couple of holes up near the end and notches to get a good grab on the epoxe. It also taperes so it will be wider at the guard area for strength.

Shaving Sharp, I'll be sending your knife out today and an email will be inbound shortly with a tracking #. Thanks man!!!

Also, thanks again to all who have looked and commented. My apreciation to you all.
