I have been wanting to make something Scagel-ish for a while now and this one I did up like a cross between a modern fighter, and Scagels large camp knife. It has a really nice feel in hand and wonderful balance which makes it nimble. I did this one with a hollow grind, keeping with the modern fighter style, but I wanted this knife to be a little classier than the normal Scagel style knives I have made in the past, so I went with a mirror polish on the blade, and a carved sheath that hopefully Mr. Scagel would be proud of.
Check out the specs and pics and as always, comments are apreciated.

Specs:

Hollow Ground
7-3/4" Blade Length (tip to guard)
13" OAL
O1 Steel Blade Heat Treated to 57-59 RC
3/16" Thick
Mirror Polished
Brass Guard
Brass, Aluminum, Fiber, Leather, and Corian Spacers
Stag Crotch Pommel
8-9 oz. Leather Pouch Sheath with Hand Carved Oak Leaf design and Laced Edge

Lamont,
Another nice one! Beautiful work on the entire package.
A really great buy, sedonaderm.

It's fantastic to see a maker finish the "finish" and make a proper sheath for a custom blade. Old skewl.
Bravo.

Thanks so much for the praise on my Scagel. I have alot of fun making them but for some reason I don't do them very often. Sedonaderm, I mailed your knife out today, and thanks again for the purchase my friend!

Hmmmmm how shall I say. Sweet? Beautiful ? Flawless? I'm mezmorized!!!! I dont know what it went for but I'm sorry I missed it.

Mr. Coombs: I would like to express my great happiness with this knife---it looks better in my hand than it does on my computer. Whether I look casually or closely with a critical eye, this knife excels. I really like the shape of the blade (modified clip point); the visually gorgeous grip also proves to feel great in the hand. Thank you for taking the time, and having the skill, to do such a lovely job of carving and dying a very special sheath. I am most proud to be the owner of this fine knife, tho the person who should be really proud is the one who created it. Ed
