sure you can find knives cheaper but it seems most retails play by the rules and use the Manufacture's Suggest Retail Price ... or atleast quote that by their price showing you just how much money you are saving by switching to Geico. errr buying from that store instead of their competitors.

Almost all production knives sell for approximately the same discount from MSRP. MSRP gives the manufacturer himself a price he can sell at without interfering with his distributors' business. We generally distinguish among dealers by reliability, customer service, and shipping cost and speed rather than by small differences in price charged.
