Copper and Clad / Buck 117

Well in the picture it says with 102 shockwood handle. And it looks much slimmer than my standard 117 cocobolo.
I read it wrong initially..but you're right..it does says this... the same blade length as the 102, but a larger handle than then102.

then in pic says.... 102 shokwood handle.....?

which is the typo? or wonder if the thickness of the handle is 102 size, and length is 117........yeah im confused.....

it does look very thin and skinny though in that pic.

Simple solution - BCCI should list the specifications.

Sure would be nice to get the correct info...
There is a big difference!

I guess I missed the 102 handle part.

I just read the part I pasted....

I'm betting it's a regular 117 with a shokwood handle.

I agree 102 handles are small.

I don't do email on my phone.
I'd email Tim and find out.......

yep that would make it easy.

I missed the pre-order email or skipped by accident on the newsletter maybe..... on this one somehow. I dont play on Facebook. which seems to be bccis preferred communication. plus maybe someone already elaborated on this on Facebook?

Les already asked on the bcci website about the confusion oon handle size.....so maybe we'll find out?

No bueno for me and for me to question why in the heck would they do that?
Yea that is a head scratcher, to me it looks out of per portion. The regular size 117 handle is balanced nice and I prefer that size. The 102 handle for me is a bit small for a good grasp.

If it had the 117 size handle in shockwood I would probably already have one ordered. I’m gonna have to think on this some.

You know I looked at the pic, thought it looked out of proportion.....

I have one reserved without my #....
Now I'm not sure I even want it with the 102 handle.

It makes for a dumb knife in my opinion.

There's a number of customs I'd rather have for that money.

Well, maybe I’m a heathen, but I ordered one and am waiting for it’s arrival. Looking forward to it.

I imagine, back in pioneer days, each knife really was handmade, and there weren’t any standardized measurements.
