I'd bet other parts of the qualifications are ignored too. Like this one:

Willing to prominently display your authorized Buck Knives logo in your store-front location(s), merchandise Buck Knives products in a professional manner, and train your employees to able to communicate the features and benefits for our products

I doubt that Walmart (Buck's largest distributor?) is training anyone on the features and benefits and I don't recall seeing an Authorized Buck dealer logo displayed.

ry true

After comparing all of C & C's Buck knives ( that are in stock) to the MAP pricing in the 2021 Dealer Price List, it appears they are in compliance for every product except one - the 836 folding Selkirk which is $3.00 below MAP. Otherwise, they are at or above MAP on every knife they are required to be. Exclusives, most Chinese models, lower end “Select” US models and sheaths are not subject to MAP.

I was comparing to Buck pricing: according to Bucks rule book they shouldn’t have any knives.

I'm sure this will be clarified soon. C J Buck is going to Missouri and the Shepherd Hills Cutlery operation on June 19.

Note that is says "willing" to prominently display.... not a must display requirement. I suspect C&C slides by on "slight of hand" technicalities... such as, they are part of the brick and mortar outfit, Shepherd Hills... so that side of the business meets the dealer qualifications.

Is there anything in Buck's authorized dealer agreement that governs internet sales by an authorized dealer or it's "Subsidiary" ? If not, then that's probably how C&C can do what it does, by "flying between the lines".

Mapquest says 160 miles to Lebanon MO, all interstate. In retirement, driving is recreation. I'm giving it some thought.
In the old days they sometimes had an event specific special knife. If so, I'll be sure to get the box signed and not the blade... ;o)

Shepherd of the Hills in Branson does carry the Copper and Clad Buck knives in their store, I have bought many there. They have a nice selection of Bucks!

I'm sure CJ is clearly aware of Copper and Clad's operation.

They have a PO box.

Thread was just to find out if C&C met the dealer criteria. Internet only i dont see that choice from Buck. I cant seem to find a phone number for them either. I do remember calling them but that was a few years ago.

If there are rules set then probably should follow them. Its considerably cleaner and up front. I have a couple exclusives from them and thought for awhile they were done with Buck or vice versa.
To Copper and Clad, if you say your going to buy 500 then buy 500.

Happy Tuesday.
