I'm trying to find some copper bar stock for guards. The local Tru-Value hardware store was priced at $54 for a piece at .125" x 1" x 2'. He told me he could get me the entire 12' piece for only $62, but 12 feet would last me a lifetime.

Does anyone know of a place to get .125" x 1" copper bar stock? If I have to I'll buy the entire 12' piece, but would rather not.

Hi Scott. Try Sheffield Knifemakers Supply. I don't think they have online ordering but there tele# is 1-800-874-7007

The closest size to what you're looking for would be 1/8" x 1-1/2" x 12" L part # is CB-03 @ $7.00

The next closest size is 3/16" x 1" x 12" L ; part # CB-04 @ $7.00

It is listed as "copper bar", alloy CDA 110

Jantz only has 3/8"X3/4" And scott If you decide to buy the whole bar I would buy a foot or so from you.

Try onlinemetals.com they have copper, brass, Bronze, Unobtainium, A-2, D-2, O-1, and S-7 they sell by the INCH, and will custom cut for free and sometimes mill for a small fee.

I know where at least 2 500 pound ingots of copper are. can't figure out how to get them up the cliff, with no trees for anchor points.... but they are there.

Find a friend with a Jeep with a warn winch on the front, and hoist that sucker up the hill! I'd love a chunk of that!
