Cord wrap a Tomahawk?

When I did my hawk, I did it to help the slippery handle however seeing the paracord wrapped hawks that looks like it would help the grip as well as adding a length of para cord for other uses in an emergency.

My wrap was somewhat useful but decorative which is what I was going after. I still haven't replaced the wrapping since it got trashed.

Gibsonfan-Got a pick of yours? It sound like a quick fix for mine but i'm having trouble visualizing it. Thanks

But like someone said, the rawhide could be useful... As well, the knot gives me a good grip when choked up for finer work...
