If you've never held one of Mace's utility knives, they just feel completely natural to hold... like it was truly meant to be in your hand! One of these days I'll have to get one of these lil' guys from you, bro...

what are the dimensions? can you tell us more about why you chose 1084 for a utility knife? My impression of 1084 (and I can be totally off base here) is that it generally requires more care to prevent rusting and if its a utility knife isn't that the last thing you want?

Hey guys, thanks for the nice comments!

This knife is 7" OAL with a blade of about 3 1/4"

1084 is a great steel for a utility knife, but it will rust if it's not taken care of...just like most high carbon steels.
I have been carrying my own knife made from 1084 for almost a year and a half with NO rust on it at all....some patina...,but no rust. I just make sure it's clean and dry when I'm done with it and oil it every now and again.
If you all have any other questions please feel free to ask.
Thanks again for looking.
Mace
