Hello all, I just bought a new cord wrapped Badger Attack.
I have been checking on this knife since the gun shop that it was at opened 6 or so years ago, it was always there in the glass case. Had a sticker on it for $275.00 which I figure is pretty cheep for a Busse these days. They had a big sale going when I stopped by today, I asked how much with the sale? 25% off $206.00. I offered $175.00 and they took my offer:D

The secondary grind is a bit uneven, is this what is referred to as an Asymmetrical Edge?
Have you seen a cord wrapped BA before?
Is this one INFI or A2?
Any other info you might have?

brutha that looks to me to be a cord wrapped SHBA!:)

You scored.

Big TIme!

Its probably a2.

You can test it with gun blue pen or email me knifehunter(@)comcast.net for more info

I will be the first to say that the grind must be defective. Send it to me and I will dispose of it. Heck I will even reimburse you the $175.

Thanks, good link Hero!
This is my second Busse, I traded my first SHBA with BUSSE on the tang to Mulder a couple years ago. Been missing it since! Is he still around? I tried e-mailing him with no luck.

I take it that this is an asymmetrical Edge then, I found this on the site Hero posted:

"Asymmetrical Edge A type of cutting edge bevelling where one side of the cutting edge is steeply ground (say, 15 degrees), and the other side is much more obtusely ground (say, 45 degrees). The actual cutting edge is either left or right of center, depending on the wich side the steeper angle is on. It is considered a stronger edge less prone to damage (better for chopping). This edge was standard on the Basic series, the E-handle series, the Assault Shakers, and maybe more. "

Glad all is well Dave, you had me worried there for a second. I still had both your e-mails and both bounced.

I tried cold blue on the steel and it did not touch it. The blade thickness is .242

Score!!!

I'll bet the Shop would put scales on that for you for not much money.

Make that Hog Mulder pay to pry it out of your hands..... :D

Dave knows my weakness, old Winchesters:o

What is the best way to get a quote from the shop for scales? I might look into that, good idea!

You can get a quote from the shop by calling them.
A set of hand shaped canvas tigerhide with smooth bolt fasteners would be killer.
And like I mentioned, once in the hands of the shop they can confirm that the knife in question is INFI. ;)

I sent an e-mail to customer service, I'll call them tomorrow. Mulder do you have a picture of one with those scales?
