The retention (both in the sheath and in the hand) seems like it’d be incredible. Where do these balance, Bill—in front or behind the index finger?
The knife balances right on my index finger as I hold the handle. Nice pivot point for easy manipulation 👍

Oh I have a silly number of Bill’s knives…just trying to decide if I need this one in case all of those differentially hardened pieces of 5160 break, or something.

Actually, one of them is in S30V…yep, no question, I need this one too.

I’ll take it.

Gotta just say---this grip retention on this knife is absolutely incredible. Flattens any kind of patterned G10 or Micarta, even flattens the hemp-wrapped knives I have. Feels like you're holding onto...well...really coarse rope, and that the chances of your fingers sliding forward is basically zero. Great ergonomics, great cutting geometry in spite of the thick spine, flat-saber but truly goes down almost to zero before the secondary bevel comes in. Just a kick-ass knife.

I've got one similar from Bill and I agree!
