Cord wrapped JK with nice patina...

My camera isn't the greatest but you can get an idea of it at least. Looks very nice in person, for someone who likes patinas.

Kroger brand Dijon mustard. :D

I've never done it before. I just squirted a little on, dabbed it around with my finger (trying to get full coverage but keep it random) and let it sit for an hour or so.

Clean with warm water, a light coat of oil and rewrapped the handle. Turned out good I thought!

I'm hard on my knives and don't take care of them other than touching up the edge. This one had already developed a thumbprint design rust mark and had some other markings from cutting apples the other day. I'm hoping this patina will give it a bit of protection from that. We'll see.
 
Nice Patina and JK knife. I like the Hiker cordwrapped. I wish there were more like that.

John, how much lighter do you think it makes the knife?

I would think it cuts the weight by at least a third, that micarta is pretty heavy. I`ll be doing another one in a couple of weeks, I will weigh it before I ship it out.
