Cordless Dremel Tool - Anyone using one?

The other day I discovered a cordless dremel tool and took it home thinking it might be pretty handy around the shop. I've used it once so far and it did OK even though it lacks power but all that did was slow me down a bit and that could even be a good thing. It is convenient not having to maneuver around the power cord.

So do any of you guys use one? Impressions?

Thanks!

Steve

I have had one as well as a friend of mine. I found it didn't hold a charge very long causing interruptions in completing the task as hand. I finally purchased a corded Dremel and have it to today without any problems. When my friend was going to purchase one, I cautioned him not to get the cordless, he didn't listen. After a short while he stated that he was frustrated with the cordless and wished he had purchased the corded model.

YMMV

I have a couple. The newest one vibrates badly. Dremel quality seems to have gotten worse lately.

I love AC power

If I use it sitting at a bench, indoors, with electrical outlets right there.

Why use batteries with limited life and power?

I had one but when the battery no longer took a charge I replaced it with a corded one.

I had one but it was disappointing. I now have three corded Dremels each with a different tool plugged in on my bench. Larry

I only use Dremels for very light grinding work. I use them at low speed.
At times I use them for drilling or other precision work. I have 2 cordless Dremels, one corded Dremel (with foot pedal,) and 2 flexible shaft machines on my bench.
The cordless Dremels are really used for convenience.
