Cordova Gladiator Knife Description:
Double Edged and Guard; Full-Length Tang, Skull Crusher Pommel with Wrist Thong hole.
Gladiator Knife Description, as written by Master Knifesmith Joseph G. Cordova:
The Gladiator is the best designed survival/defense knife I make.
The Gladiator has been used around the world by select government operatives and professional soldiers but many choose it for their collections as well.
The Gladiator comes with an 8" or 9" blade made of 440-C high carbon stainless. Handle is black linen based Micarta.
The leather sheath is a Reversa-sheath that can be worn either horizontally or vertically.
SPECS:
Overall Length: 13.125-inches
Blade Length, from edge of scales to tip: 8.5-inches
Blade Thickness: 0.1875-inches
Blade Material: 440-C High-Carbon Stainless Steel
Grips: Black Micarta Slab-Style
Wrist Thong: Green #550-Cord
Knife History:
I purchased it in the 1970s after graduating from the U.S. Army Ranger School. And I carried it on every operation during my tenure with Special Operations.
This is a user-knife, not a museum display piece (although I guess it could)!
Knife Condition: Good, there are a few scratches on the blade from sharpening, but the edge does NOT have any blemishes as it was only used to cut "soft materials".
Original Leather Reversa-Sheath:
The Sheath is a dark Brown color and can be worn either horizontally or vertically. It has Cordova Made Knives logo stamped on the back.
Condition: Ok, there are several holes punched into the leather belt loop for belt width, the rear of the belt loop was torn (repaired by sewing it together) and there are a few scratches on the sheath.
Hand-Made Leather Sheath:
The original sheath did not meet my needs, so I made this leather sheath a few months after purchasing the knife. It has a Mil-Spec Nylon Compass Pouch attached for small Sharpening Stone; it is worn vertically, and has a 1-inch Nylon Leg Strap with Fastex Quick Release Buckle. I Camouflaged it many years ago with Spray Paint.
Condition: Both the Sheath and the retaining snap are Good.
Price: $500.00 + $20.00 USPS Priority Mail and Insurance
