Core vs Supertool 300

The pin that holds the tools in is alot thicker than the one on the Core, I had one of those (Core) pins break on me in Afghanistan and had to go to my back up ST200, this was back in 07! Leatherman fixed that with the ST300 and made those pins really thick.

Thanks for all the replies and advice. After careful consideration I think I will probably go with the ST300. I really like the beefy plier head and the cutouts. Hope the clumping doesn't bug me too much. Now to convince myself to actually pull the trigger.

Seeing the price suddenly drop was all it took to push me over the edge. Can't wait for it to get here.

Or are talking about the price overall for ST300s?

Yes one site as far as I know. If you leave me a visitor message in my profile I will tell you which.

Edit: Never mind. I left you a message.

The Supertool 300 has my vote. I still have my original Supertool even today and the ST300 is a nice improvement on the design and addition. Only thing that would make it better is they replaced the pins with the torque screws for easy tightening that the Wave and Charge has. Those little round knurled screws used to tighten the arms of the pliers are a pain in the rear with a couple of pairs of pliers required to do the job.
