Cork and Leather belts

Are the cork and leather belts worth having? I'm looking for something to help my 2x42 be more efficient at "scary sharp" and was wondering if these would help.

Does the leather belt have any benefit over a standard leather strop?

Paper wheels!

I think the cork and leather work better for mirror polishing the blade then the edge, but I have had very little exposure to them.

If you want scary sharp, scary fast, get paper wheels. There was a thread recently about them...

I've tried the leather belt for sharpening and wasn't very impressed. I use two scotchbrite belts. Medium then a fine loaded with white compound. Never used a cork belt but from what I've heard they are more for the finish on the blade.
