Corona knives

My only corona knife is the ZT 0707...coming soon. It will be the first non
Sinkevich ZT i have bought for myself.

The coronavirus knives for me have been:
  • Giant Mouse Ace Grand
  • Microtech Ultratech Delta
  • Desert Warrior Pro-Tech SnG
  • Spyderco Swayback
I am still hoping to get the Battle Pickle (spyderco bombshell)

Only Rona knife for me is the Emerson Tiger. My first Emerson (I do have the ZT 0630 and a couple of the Kershaw models), and I really like it, despite thinking it's a bit overpriced. No regrets though.

A rather interesting thread this, despite its initial negativity, and later belligerence by the OP who seems much better at criticizing knives than actually buying ones that he likes. It also seems informative that his sig line translates to "dogs that bark do not bite".

On a friendlier note, mendezj mendezj , I hope you can get to your Alaskan home in short order and are not stuck anywhere unpleasant.

Before the virus hit here in February and caused our state shutdown in March, I had continued selling off knives that didn't get carried and used and buying mostly mid-techs that would. Those acquisitions included a CKF MILK and Andrey Biryukov No. 9 around the holidays and my grail Russian Dr Death in January--three knives in M390, S90V, and Vanax 37 that I'm pleased to own, carry, and use.

I had an excellent sheetmetal project this winter--2/3 shop and 1/3 field in a safe, remote location--that fit nicely with my semi-retirement, and, construction being deemed essential here, gave us a nice financial boost along with some other unexpected income, and the chance to pick up a few more nice blades while so much of the economy and our usual routines were shut down. Starting in March, I picked up:

ZT0801BW--as my pimped 801 is too pretty, and scratchable to carry. This blackwash knife is great in hand, stealthily handsome, flips with the best, and its blade grind and Elmax steel make for a good hard-use cutter.

Spyderco Delica and Endura Pakkawood in laminated Hap40--two that I'd wanted for a long time and finally bought after selling my Damascus lionSTEEL TiSpine. The wood was kinda meh-looking until it picked up oil from my hands and looks pretty handsome now. I've carried them some but still haven't put the Hap40 through its paces much.

Spyderco Vallotton full-size SubHilt--always was curious about this unusual piece. It's a monster of a knife with excellent F&F, wicked smooth, and lots of interesting detail that really won't get carried and used so I've listed it on the Exchange.

CRK large PJ Inkosi Insingo--I wanted an Inkosingo and was lacking a PJ since trading away my 25. All my CRKs are larges, save one Mnandi, and I'm always pleased with the sharpenability and toughness of their S35VN.

RHK 3.5"XM18 No-Choil Skinny Slicer--another I sought for a long time and recently bought off the Exchange. I love M390 for its edge retention, toughness, and surprising sharpenability. As with a lot of Hinderers. the edge can use some work out of the box, but the knife is amazing for its blade and handle thinness, action, pocketability, and feel in hand. I surprisingly love the Working Finish on this one too despite being a big coarse stonewash fanboy.

Andrey Biryukov No.10 in S125V and blue CF--I ordered this directly from Workshop Biryukova about 12 days ago and they built and shipped it in 4 days. It moved from Pavlovo, Nizhny Novgorod through several stops in good order and through Russian Customs by late last week, but has sat in the usual tracking black hole at the airport for several days despite being shipped EMS. Hopefully it will pop up soon in Flushing, Queens as shipments from the Motherland usually do and not be too affected by pandemic delays.

During this time I also picked up a Shirogorov-compatible pivot tool from JekylltoHyde and had @WValtakis embellish my Biryukov Sigma, another excellent knife in S125V that was entirely too mono-chromatic.

Sorry for the wall of text, this just gave me some time to consider what I've picked up since the world took this weird turn.

CRK large Inkosi. Like everything about this knife. First CRK. Absolutely stunned by the build quality. I also really like the rough(blasted) titanium handles.
