I love the knife(ves) Jean-Marc. Wondering about the bead work and the design notes. Are you a beader?
Hello Ray, I would love to buy a tool to make my beads. I'm only a greek komboloi ( worry beads) collector, my second passion. And I know a craftman in Greece who make them for me. When he find me some old beads we decide how he will make a the komboloi with it .

Making glass beads via "lampwork" is a satisfying activity. I did it for a few years, but my old hands no longer obey some of my commands!!My beads 1.jpg
These are the unused beads from my attempts! The glass quality is very good; some look nice, and some are ugly!! 😲 🤣
The tools are simple: a gas torch, fresh air (exhaust fan), some metal rods to form the beads over, a good teacher!!

That barrel on the left looks as if it could be antique jasper - I like it. I've never tried making beads but I've strung a few miles of antique stone, glass and metal beads in my days. Had a little business going for a while but my antique beads were outpacing the sale value - even though some of my work sold for $800.00 +/-. Quite a challenge building a web business. This before Instagram. I did by chance find a comment on a beaders forum once ;) from a woman who said my bead works was her favorite. She never did buy anything though. I quit on that high note. I stuck to my day job - woodworking.

AND now back to our regularly scheduled content... :)
