This knife laid out in the rain and humidity for who knows how long...Yes, 52100 will rust if abused. I was able to clean up the blade except where the steel meets the handle material where it still shows some pitting. The correct way to address this would be to remove the handle, polish the flats and put on a new one. However I am tired of fooling with this one so if someone wants a good working knife and can live with these defects, here is a bargain for you.

Stock removal from 1/8 inch 2100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60
Flat grind
Stabilized figured maple handle with black Micara spacers
Overall length: 8 3/4 inches
Blade: 4 1/8 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
