A few months ago, I found a sak.
It was just sitting in the woods, by a stream, with the main blade opened and setting on a rock by the water. Very weird. Nobody was around. It was a very isolated spot, and all the way back to the car,we didn't see a soul. It seems to be a Victorinox super tinker, and it's not old. It still had the factory edges on the two blades, but it was in dirty condition and had been rode hard and put up wet. It was like the owner didn't really care about it. I took it home, cleaned it well with an old toothbrush and Dawn dish soap and warm water. Some Hoppies gun oil in the joints and it worked like new. The red plastic scales have a few dings, but nothing major.
The thing is, this is not a sak I would carry. Just not my style knife. So I'm going to find it a good home for someone who will take care of it, or gift it to a young person who will appreciate it.
I'm going to run this until next Sunday, and your post number will be your drawing number. My better half will pick the name out of my old khaki bucket hat, and I'll get it off in the mail the next day.
If you haven't posted in the traditional forum before and are just trolling for a free knife, don't bother posting, I won't include you. Like the sign says, "The management reserves the right to refuse service."
Good luck all.
Carl.
