cost of fun is way up! is it a real 1963 110?

I seem to recall a NIB 1st version 110 about year or so ago selling on the bay, and I think it went between $800 and $900.

that would be a good way to evaluate the actual value of this knife, Scott. In which case 500-600 may be closer to the mark. Still, it has been used which is miles away from NIB so even that may be high

Maybe Dave didn't alert us on that one because he wanted it.

:D

Hope he's enjoying it.

no i did not see it or them ...
and most times linking to a active listing is a NO NO !!!
it is jest NOT alowed in over 95% of all cases!!
it falls under deal spotting...
some one jest said of a 124 and that i am suprised did not get mod ticket
note i said mods could deleate mine!!

like i said in another thread
i am NOT that nick-picking on most things
however if i had won the lottery i would bid on this one
i would have to have knife in hand to make final decision on what
was in my hand...
again one had to learn what Buckness is ...
some of us know in our particular field
buck 110 is one i do listen to as well as a few others..

That very well could be a 1st. version, 1st. variation from 1964. It has all the makings of one. There's zero proof in that listing that it pre-dates 1964. You have to look very hard to see both scale rivets, but they are there. That opening price is very high; especially since it is missing the original box and paperwork.

I believe this is what the first version with the tan sheath, box and paperwork looks like. I have sent photos to Joe and he agrees. Value? I don't know. Maybe $9-1200. Just an opinion.

In the listing in question, the seller is claiming the 110 is from 1963. It very well could be, but without proof, it is nothing more than a 1st/1st from 1964 as I stated earlier. Wouldn't you agree?[/QUOTE]

I would definately agree.

Do you by chance have a 1st/2nd that's as nice and complete as your 1st/1st? Those seem even more scarce than the 1st/1st. I almost never see those; especially in N.I.B. condition.

I do. I will try to get a photo on sometime today.

How common is 3rd/2nd, and what do you think would be a fair price for one? Knife and sheath only, no box or paper work, fairly full blade. HL

Here it is. Sorry for the poor pictures. I will try to do better later.
