Cost of Spyderco Para Military

Got my SE para for $100. Incredible knife, no need to justify the price. I think the OP was looking at the MSRP on Spydercos site, which is 239.95 i believe?

Thanks for the great information about the production costs (which should directly equate to end-user value).

I'll check the Exchange forum as well. This is definitely in the must-have department now.

I've carried the cpm d2 version for a couple of months now, and its become my everyday work knife. The handle shape and size in relation to the blade makes for some incredible ergonomics, and the steel has performed admirably so far. Absolutely no regrets here, IMO it was well worth the money

i dont have para but do have mili.&bm710d2.i think mili. is great knife but alot lighter made than bm710. no steel liners & thinner blade also. still love mili. but not as much knife. it cracks me up all the spyde freaks who hate liner lock until its on spyde.

I would be one that does not like linerlocks, its probably the reason I dont own a military. But I will also say, my personal problems with linerlocks and all of the problems that I have read about, have not been on spyderco linerlocks. They seem to be one company that knows how to do it right.

My earliest Para is from early 2004 and still has the old style jimping. It has dual liners. My latest is a D2 Para from mid-2008. It also has dual liners. They're nested so they can be hard to see sometimes.

Early models of the Military did have one liner. Later models have all had dual liners, but I can't remember when they changed. I think it was with one of the sprint models... maybe the CF/BG42 one?
