Costa Rica trip, including active volcano

great subjects, great lighting, sounds like a great trip.

what camera did you use? tripod?

I have a Pentax K20D with a few different lenses. I mostly use a 50mm f1.4 and a 16-45 f4. I didn't edit any of the pictures, so some of them are kind of rough and could use some post processing.

The tripod is one made by Triopo that I got from Newegg. Supposedly titanium alloy, but it was only $70, so who knows. It is very nice for the price though, so I can't complain. Lightweight, very stable, good construction, etc.

Did you manage a dip in the cold water pool?

Nah, it was pretty overcast every time we wanted to go to the pool, so we never made it in.

You were probably lucky. Calling it "cold water" was kind of like calling Mt. Everest "tall".
