Okay, I think it is time for the backstory. Please!

Sorry guys. No story here. The same Cougar pic was posted on Michigan-Sportsman. I just put up the same pics that were posted as replies to the OP.

I can't say one way or the other if the first pic is real. As for the second, I think its a fake. The guy's socks would be much dirtier if it were real

IMO, the first is a fake as well. If the deer passed in front of the camera along the same path, the camera should have snapped a pic of the deer instead of waiting for the cougar. That means the deer would be in the center of the pic, not the cat.

Of course I've been wrong before so I'll make no claims of being a trail-cam expert.

game cams can set up in many ways. for the real good ones cost $$$$.
what made me wonder was the deer, i was thinking it was just a game target.
i have an in law who had one and a bear attacked it.
i didn't even know bear liked foam.
