i dont want to mirror polish it myself cuz i dont have the proper tools to do so, and even if i did i wouldnt know how to get around the thumb stud. so does kershaw do that sort of thing for a fee? thanks guys.
You can do it yourself with a Dremel, a felt wheel/bob, and some Flitz or Mother's Mag Wheel polish. Or send it off to one of the custom guys. Its no biggie.
Here's my first try at it. Its not a true mirror finish, but rather just somewhat reflective. You could keep going until you get the look you want.
I used to see a number of polished Leeks on the 'bay'. Most or all were customized with exotic scales by a company called Santa Fe Stoneworks. Didn't know if they did the polishing themselves, or if they were utilizing the factory-polished ones referenced by Morrow above. Looked pretty nice, either way. I was tempted to buy one for a long time, but never got around to it.
