Sounds like a good idea, I think I'll cruise up North a bit and see if I can chase down some cooler weather. :D

Listen Jack!! You channel your own Mother!!

Why do I feel as though I've just said something dreadfully dirty. :o :p :D ;)

Ren, shouldnt be a problem at all, I have done 100K+ on my MTB Mutant. A nice 25KMph crusing speed with lots of rpms will eat up the milage. Make sure you have lots of Oatmeal before you go though :D

Should take no time at all!!!

Great ride.....Finished in a little over four hours...there was a helluva head wind for the last 30 miles of the ride..but it felt great..heat..sun...bikes...it was great. I love the slingshot..when I jam on the pedals it almost bounces up hills...I LOVE climbing hills...

and my mother tried to channel me when I was riding so I stood up on the pedals and farted...really loud too...the guy behind me was P.O.d...sheesh fricking bike nerd...biking gives me gas....

It's all the pumpin' up and down, the thought of Ren.....pumpin'.......gas.....fartin..................it makes me :barf:

Does it really help that much its suspension? Does it take the bumps and make forward motion? Neat idea. Little on the $$$ side though.(to me a non bike fanatic)

Calling it a "100,000 meter" ride is gay.

I went out for 90 minutes yesterday & did a 1,269,100.8 inch ride, but you don't hear me boasting about it.

the tropical storm is keeping me from riding

the good news is that i am getting a new bike next week :)

That's 'cause 90 minutes is standard fer blue-movie blokes.

Normal folks take 20 minutes for their occasional 14,400 inch ride. The 6 inch uphills and downhills take their toll no matter who you're channeling. Might as well be riding a bicycle..... :D

Good on ye Ren! Putting the Sequoia in the Shelby and heading to Red Rocks for a spin myself...

PcNorton,
You'd be surprised. I'm looking to get into road biking and you really can't get a decent bike for less than a grand anymore, at least not a new one. I don't know much about the slingshot brand, but a similar Cannondale or Trek runs between 1800 - 2500 at the local bike shop in town, and that's without all the fancy suspension. Personally I think they're prices are a little steep but they're not that out of line with what I've seen at other places on the net for bikes with a similar suspension style. It did surprise me the first time I looked at bikes though, especially since I was thinking in terms of moutain bikes where you can get a pretty high end piece for $500 to $700. Ren, that sounds like a really cool ride, glad you made it the whole way.
