Pssst, hey buddy, wanna buy a bike?
This year, as the kiddies were leaving the university, I "rescued" a Raliegh roadster literally from the trash heap.
Thing was lying upside down in a bunch of real junker bikes with no front wheel.
I politely inquired of the frat boys if they knew who owned it, and they said "that guy graduated two years ago; you can take it if you want."
Got it home and was quite surprised. This little number would have retailed for about 850.00 new. American-made 7005 butted aluminum frame, straight RSX components, Mavic semi-aero rims, triple crank. Very nice little bike.
All I have to do is buy a new front wheel, a pair of tires, and clean it up a bit.
She'll go "on the block" when I get done, at 56cm it's a tad small for me, and I already have my carbon-fiber Trek roadster.
