Could one of these be "The Knife"

I went to the Busse website but cannot locate the battle mistress.

Have they discontinued making them?

I have had mine for a number of years. I bought mine right around the time Jerry put a big peice of steel through his hand and could not make any knives for a while. That caused the big back log that time. There was also a deployment going at that time, so "my" knife kept getting sent overseas. It was worth the wait though.

From all of the hype, I want a Battle Mistress. All of your knives are production, but the Busse is higher end production. I've been very happy so far with my Bog Dog, and if Swamp Rat is supposed to be the low end verion of the Busses, I think I'm gonna be very happy.

Dig around the Busse website for their new production protocols, basically the Battle Mistress hasn't come up in the rotation yet, but will probably be the next knife up after the Satin Jacks.

There's a few choices out there as to which BM to get. The E handle will be the cheapest, but I personally prefer the Zero Tolerance one because it's lighter. (a Combat Grade ZTBM won't be too much more expensive than the E handle)

Fusion Battle Mistress: bring it on!

If the FBM ends up being as good as the FSH it will be an excellent knife.

How can I track down a value or even a model number on the Timberline? The web site does not have anything that looks like mine.

Thanks

I'm not sure of a model or name - get a picture up maybe someone can tell you. Value? I was surprised when a hollow handle model sold on ebay not too long ago for $1000.00. This was on a "buy it now" basis. An earlier auction of this same knife was pulled early - the bidding was over this when it was pulled. If yours is uncommon, who knows. There's a ready market for these on ebay and an auction would definitely fetch a fair price.
Timberline today is a very different beast. Look up the makers name, he's still in business and has a web site. He is still offering some of the same models.

From your description the Timberline sounds like a custom knife - not one made by the Timberline company. Since there is the name, "Bill Sanders", on the knife, I would think it to be a custom knife made by that person.
