Could someone do a RC-4 Vs. F1 review?

The Fallkniven F1 is the standard 'bushcraft'/camp knife; the automatic choice. Can anyone who has both the F1 and the RAT RC-4 do a thorough comparison review on the two knives detailing how they perform at all the common camp activities, and the pro's and con's of each? If you also have a Cold Steel Pocket Bushman to throw into the mix, just to see how viable it is as a backup or even main camp-knife then that would be awesome!

It would also be interesting to see how they all compare to the dirt cheap Mora too, just to see what the extra money gets you :)

I know this is quite a request, but I don't think I'm the only person wondering.

PS. If this has already been done, could you point me in the right direction?

It might come down to whether or not you like choils. I hate the damn things, so if I had to choose, I'd go with the Fallkniven. I've never had the pleasure of handling an RAT knife, but they are highly highly esteemed on this forum. Nobody here will say either is a bad knife.

I do have the RC-4, and I do like the choil, canvas micarta scales and kydex sheath. I bought the RC-4 over the F1 for those reasons, but I'm just wondering how it stacks up against the F1 in terms of functionality. I know both are 'good choices', I just wondered if one has the advantage over the other in certain tasks.

those are the higher end knives I've been looking at as well for the eact pruposes ...any feedback would be appreciated ...

also Check out nutnfancy review on youtube, I think he does both...he did like a 17 min on the rat 4

I've owned both, but I'm not sure what specific info you're looking for? The F1 has a convex edge and grind, unlike the RC. The edge also comes all the way down, unlike the choil'ed RC. There is not a coating on the [satin] F1. The F1 has 'rubber' thermomolded grips, vs the micarta on the RC. The F1 is stainless vs the carbon RC. Both are strong, reputable blades from good manufacturers. Functionally they will both cut stuff, and both are strong enough to withstand the heaviest work. (They'll work for food prep to fuzz sticks to batoning, etc)

If you like the RC then you've found a good blade. It's just about what works for you. My own preferences are to the uncoated convex edge of the F1, but the handle is too small for me so I also prefer a custom handled full tang one. The RC handle is also too thin for my liking.

(Though it should be noted I just use my blades for bushcrafty stuff and am a notorious handle chubby-chaser.)
