Could Spyderco design a new clip?

I think it would be a great improvement to carry lower in pocket. It could even be a "conversion kit." Seems cheap enough to stamp out. Maybe even just a reverse bent wire clip like in the photo that I did to my Native.
But a wire clip would mean redesign of the handle where the bent tin one could use existing molds.

The extra hole is to tighten the screw.

I really like a deeper carry.

I have no interest in hiding what's in my pocket. I have more of an interest of being able to get it out of my pocket quickly. Spyderco can't make clips for everyone. I personally think that their current clips are fine. I like clips like what are on the Military. That way the knife sticks up enough to grab onto.

That's just my $.07 :) (increased for cost of living and inflation)

Getting it fast is great.... IF IT'S THERE.

I find on the shorter knives like the Native and Delica, it can work its way out of the pocket just from gettin in an out of the car.

That Native is STILL very easy to get to. It still sticks out of the pocket. Just not .... much.

I think anyone who makes an aftermarket Deep Carry clip for Spyderco's most popular models would be a hit on 'that auction site's' Buy it Now section.

Maybe someone like STR would be willing to take the measurements of his finished custom products and CAD-CAM them... It seems he is always open to make one-off designs for clips from customers requests.

From there with the right CNC equiment it just a matter of marketing meeting what I suspect is an already strong demand.

STR has been making "deep carry" clips for Spyderco's for some time now. I wouldn't want a deep pocket clip, although for those who do there are options out there.

Exactly, but last time I checked he was still making them one at a time. I hope to soon order one for my E4 Wave, but he still is making them without templates so that entails sending your knife
to him which adds to the cost plus the 'discomfort' of not having your EDC for a while.

If he turned that part of his bussiness (deep carry clips) into a stock item offering for popular models a lot of us would be very happy. :)
