most surefires will run fine with 17670's, they dont advertise it due to warranty issues but the tubes usually fit with little or no modification. ive bored out my e2dl to accept a 17670 and i may consider boring it and my c2-ha to accept 18650's later on down the line
. i love p60 host, imo swapping out modules for the latest and greatest emitters is easier achieved/more economical than buying brand new lights haha.
my jetbeam rrt-0 is/was one of my favorite lights due to the infinitely variable adjustment ring + ability to accept AA/14500/cr123/16340's on the go + off/strobe/hidden sos. great light, and i highly recommend it but nowadays i find myself carrying my zebralight sc60w, hds edc 120-t, nitecore d11.2 & lenslight 2x123 more than anything. why? theyre all easier to switch immediately to low mode with one hand and the zebralight and lenslight have warmer tints which i prefer. the super mega bright pocket throwers/flooders have gotten old with horrible run times heh... fun but if you seriously have use for a light, youre going to want excellent runtime.
heres a vid i did not too long ago on my flashlight collection, as powernoodle said... its hard to keep up with technology so dont get too carried away
for starters i always recommend the fenix ld10 as solid edc light that runs on more conventional batteries such as AA and is very pocketable. there is a newer ld12 out but im not a fan of the UI/side switch even though it has a nice foward clicky (something that people have been crying for for years)
