Could use some Advice on flashlights

most surefires will run fine with 17670's, they dont advertise it due to warranty issues but the tubes usually fit with little or no modification. ive bored out my e2dl to accept a 17670 and i may consider boring it and my c2-ha to accept 18650's later on down the line :). i love p60 host, imo swapping out modules for the latest and greatest emitters is easier achieved/more economical than buying brand new lights haha.

my jetbeam rrt-0 is/was one of my favorite lights due to the infinitely variable adjustment ring + ability to accept AA/14500/cr123/16340's on the go + off/strobe/hidden sos. great light, and i highly recommend it but nowadays i find myself carrying my zebralight sc60w, hds edc 120-t, nitecore d11.2 & lenslight 2x123 more than anything. why? theyre all easier to switch immediately to low mode with one hand and the zebralight and lenslight have warmer tints which i prefer. the super mega bright pocket throwers/flooders have gotten old with horrible run times heh... fun but if you seriously have use for a light, youre going to want excellent runtime.

heres a vid i did not too long ago on my flashlight collection, as powernoodle said... its hard to keep up with technology so dont get too carried away ;)
for starters i always recommend the fenix ld10 as solid edc light that runs on more conventional batteries such as AA and is very pocketable. there is a newer ld12 out but im not a fan of the UI/side switch even though it has a nice foward clicky (something that people have been crying for for years)

rocking the klarus xt1a
1xAA
150 lumens 1 hour
30 lumens 6 hours
4 lumens 50 hours
dual tail switch with strobe

got it at goinggear when they had free shipping with anything over $50.
used the sootch00 code and came in just a few bucks over hahh.
its pretty bright for 1 AA, been edc it for a few weeks, it is a little too big imo.

thinking about getting the stainless steel maratec aaa over at countycomm.

You gotta get at least one Surefire, the Fury is my "mid" level SF favorite. My edc lights are Fenix and Jetbeam, but if I had to choose only one for when the chips were down, it would be one of my Surefires.....with at least two of the CR123 SF spare carriers.

Hello all :)

The knife collection is plentiful these days :D Could always use more (who couldnt), but it may be time to get into something else, only have 1 mediocre flashlight so thinking about expanding. I do a bit a searchin, and holy moly, a few options is an understatement

So I come to my fellow knife junkies. Looking for the staples, maybe a few high end ones. Mainly stuff that is halfway easy to carry comfortably. The 110's/delicas/military/0350/sebenza of lights. Say I have $300-500 to blow on em, what would you recommend to a newb like myself?

Thanks in advance

Eric, what is it you're wantin' from this new light? Single, 2 or 3 cell? Multiple outputs? Eyeball blisterin' or smooth flood? EDC?
Small & pocketable or manpurse sized? Bulletproof & affordable or?

Google Macscustoms. All hand made by Mac. Some of the best lights available. Not as expensive as you would think. Besides the lights you might wanna brush up on batteries a good place for info on both is candlelpower forums. Lots of good info and a good place to ask questions.
