Could you survive on an island?

I went around a few times but made it off and got rescued the first time, but got taken to canada. WTF?

Sort of fun, sort of ghey. If I shoot the giant growling lizard, it's going to die, and I'm going to have food.

It's amazing I have been able to survive for eight years on this island. But I have many weapons and a jeep to cross the causeway to get beer.:D

So just to re-cap:
- shooting the signal flare toward the ship is pointless
- shooting the gun to get the ship's attention is pointless
- climbing to high ground to survey the area is bad
- moving away from the strange animal sounds is bad
- shooting the angry Komodo dragon is bad
- trying to get to the side of the stream as it sweeps you away is bad

- going into a dense jungle is good
- going to investigate the big pissed off animal you hear nearby is good
- getting close enough to the pissed off Komodo to whack him with a stick is good (and he'll leave in peace once you do)
- pushing deeper into a pitch black cave is good
- giving up and letting the stream sweep you away and into the ocean is good

So all the sensible decisions, including defending yourself with the proper tools and fighting to survive are bad, but giving up / not trying / acting irrationally / accepting whatever comes is good? And the "happy ending" is a boat full of illegals, and Canuckistan?

LOL

I see your point.

If you swim to shore instead of taking the boat then you will continually collect sticks and compasses, I guess there is a compass vending machine.

What do expect from a company called Half-Baked Software :D

Exactly what I was going to say!

As Keith mentioned, the shoddy programming means that you can perpetually collect compasses and/or sticks.

I have one gun, zero flares, zero bullets, four compasses, and six big sticks. Surviving just fine

Hey I'll trade you some bullets for one of those compasses :D

Done there way you end up on the boat full of illegals with a compass, a stick, a pistol with ammo, and a flare. I think there going where I tell them to.

This was fun but really stupid and obviously written by "passive" survivlal minsed people. Of course it is a matter of record that random boats and endless compasses are found on all islands.

Try the firstaid game on the site its just as retarded. they fail you for calling 911 when you first see the accident.

Made it thru pretty quick.

-Go straight into jungle
-Approach animal noise and beat lizard with stick
-Find water and cave, go into cave
-Take right path and continue forward - pick up compass and leave
-Wade into the stream and let it take you
-Find boat and sail out to sea
-Use compass from cave to head north into shipping lanes

-I am the WinRar!!!

A series of lucky guesses, but it was pretty easy! ;) ;) ;)
