I mean like skateboard, or stairwell, safety tap to the flats?

Yes, I know it's tacky (in both senses of the word), but if you're actually going to USE the knife...why not?
Would the adhesive harm the anodizing at all?

I think it would be too abrasive. Dragging a knuckle across... :(

The Micarta Sebenza is at the top of my list though. :D

Unless you have very specific need to have an extra amount of traction on the knife there is absolutely no need at all. Outside of being coverd in oil or something it will add nothing to the use of the knife and even then I don't see it helping a vast amount. It will also just rip your trouser pockets up in no time, if that's how you carry it.

I often use my Sebenza in situations where I'm wet or hot and sweaty, that is more than often here in Taiwan actually :p, and I have never once had an issue with losing grip on the knife. :)

I carry a plain large 21 and no traction issues. Certainly up to the OP to choose his solution. If for some reason I did need a more grippy folder, I'd probably pick something else rather than modding the Sebenza. There are folders out there that offer better traction, but I just haven't needed it.

I have run into issues with more grippy designs, like Emersons, chewing up my pants pocket in short order.

Honestly even with thick freezer gloves I can manage to use my Sebenza. Pulling it out, opening, closing and changing grips are all very doable. I would hate to rip up my pants with that crap.

I have a large 21 w/ wood inlays.
I have used it with wet hands and no worries.
Thinking I would rather tape my hands than my Sebenza.

I haven't had any traction issues with my plain 25 or my old plain 21. If you have a specific need for more traction I would recommend trying the starbenza, or even the umnumzaan. They both have grooves machined into the flats for added grip.

I cant even fathom what you are doing that would require you to hold on the flats often enough to know that you need more traction there, but maybe you do, who knows, BUT....

With skateboard tape on both sides of the knife, would the knife still close fully? Being that the tolerances are so tight, and there is so little space between the blade and the Ti scale? MAYBE if only one side was, but i would think with both flats having grip tape on them, the knife wouldnt close. I'm not putting it on mine to test this theory however.

I don't think he was talking about putting grip tape on the inside of the handle slabs. That would stop the knife from working at all never mind just not closing properly.......

This was my solution. Plain jane was just far too smooth for me. The starbenza adds a perfect amount of grip to the knife and looks great as well.

I am sure you could add the tape as you wish on the outside of the Ti Scales. It would not harm the finish, but you would have the knife scuffed up around the areas not covered and then after some time, when you removed the tape, you would have unscratched/scuffed area which would look odd IMO. I see no advantages of adding something the equivalent 30 grit sandpaper to a sebenza scale, but to each their own.

I don't see any real benefit in doing that. I think I'd reach for a different knife before that.

I could, but I would not and have not.
This tape thing get's me wondering every time.
If the enviromnet be that slippy, I'd use a fixed blade with a guard and a lanyard.
What use are you thinking of?

If it works for you, go for it. I have skateboard tape on several of my 1911's that cost 10x what your knife does -I put the tape on there for me to use, not for pretty photo threads.
