I have an 18 moth old daughter meself! Keeps me busy thse days. Best of wishes to you and your wife and daughter. Going to the hopspital and being there for the deliv and all is quite a thing! What a rollercoaster ride.

In your Sig, "dishoner" should be spelled "Dishonor." Sorry, one of my Marine buds made a mark on me recently, and now my 'respect' sensitivty got turned up. (Thus it could be dishonorable to misspell dishonor.)

My daughters are in their mid-30's now (how'd THAT happen?), but not all that long ago, we were talking about their childhood friends, and some of the stuff that the friends had gotten in to, or bad paths/choices taken.

My kids are just fine...solid values, hard work for income, senses of humor, etc.... We got to talking about how the divorce that their mother and I went through affected them.

They summed it up by saying that there "was never a time when we thought you didn't love us. You may not have liked us from time to time, but we NEVER thought we weren't loved." (paraphrase)

And THAT...no matter who you are or what your circumstances are...is easy to do. Let the kid(s) know that good, bad, happy, sad...they are always loved by you; that there is no condition on your love of them.

Any news? Surely if it went well he'd eventually work himself up to telling us ASAP? Bet it's been a looooong day for him. ;)

Mommy had a c-section so I got to change most of the diapers. With everything that led up to the c-section, I'm tempted to do a little outpatient surgery before heading back to the hospital. For protective husbands who feel naked in a scrubs with no khukuri, Spyderco's lightweight ClipIt folders took innocently into the waistband.
