I buy 100% of my knives online, but only from authorized dealers. I'll buy on Ebay too as long as it's an authorized dealer.
There are so many fakes out in the market place that even a casual re seller sometimes doesn't know he's selling fakes. ( or knows and is ripping people off)
I got an email blast a few months ago from a re seller peddling Buck 110 autos for $150.
"Expertly converted and embellished with file work by an accomplished US gunsmith".
They're counterfeits and can be bought on a Chinese commerce site for $30 each ( less in bulk) with a Buck box and leather sheath.
I browse those sites all the time , just to see what they're up to.
Almost bought a Bugout on Ebay for $89 , until I saw them on an Asian website for $30.
The Ebay knife could have been real, but it's suspicious that there's hundreds of Bugouts on Ebay.
