Your knife appears to be legit, looks exactly like I would expect it to.

Thanks for uploading the photos. Your knife looks legitimate, the sheath is correct and the lamination line is clear.
Everything looks right. The only thing that caught my eye was that on the right side of your blade under "Cold Steel" it says "Japan". Whereas mine says "Made in Japan". But my SM Trail Master is at least 4-5 years old so it is very possible that this is a minor change effected on very recent models.
Also, is that actually "pitting" near the edge? Or is it something on the surface? If surface, I'd hit it with some Simichrome or Flitz. But if it's really pitting I'd look to getting it exchanged.

Thanks to everyone who put forth an opinion or advice....It is pitting on the edge, which I really can't understand what may have caused it...I will see if they will exchange it.
