Counterfiet help?

Older models did not say Idaho Made. Another strike against.

It is a counterfeit. The solution is simple. Report it as such to ebay and let them sort it out. Then walk away. Don't help counterfeiters by explaining to them in detail what they need to know to fool more people in the future. That is the extent of what is in your power to do, despite any desire to prevent an unsuspecting person from purchasing a counterfeit.

You might be surprised how little eBay will do if you report it. There's no consensus on a knife forum as to its authenticity, imagine the trouble eBay would have. Buyer beware and thank you PayPal.

I seem to remember this discussion about a watch not too long ago. Buyers were happily bidding it up over 4 figures, and it was clearly a fake due to the arrangement of components in the movement.

But hey, maybe they'll jump right on it, and I'm certainly not discouraging anyone from reporting. Just temper your expectations.

Buying CRKs of "that auction site"(We can't name it? Seriously?!) is fine, just make sure you buy from a dealer that is approved by CRK. I agree buying used would be a hazard though.

Good advice ^

I bought my large Diamond Plate used on eBay last month. It was the genuine article and I thought a pretty decent deal. The ad didn't claim genuine or clone it just was represented as a Chris Reeve DP Sebenza with pics of the knife, bdc, and all accessories. In my first email to him I asked if it was a real CRK or a clone and he was a bit "put off" by the question. I'm not sure why he would think that a strange question when there are clearly genuine and fake CRK's offered for sale. Anyway, I felt confident enough with pics and answered questions and for me it turned out okay. That said, it's still risky to buy used or from a non CRK dealer on eBay

Fake all the way........torx screws, the blue on the thumb lugs and lanyard is wrong, logo on the box is fake, no stamp code, couldn't really tell by the pics but the blade finish looks wrong, does it have any paperwork with it????

Ask the seller if a magnet sticks to the slabs. If it does, it's not titanium.

That sadly was what I was trying to avoid by the posting of this thread 😔 Lost some hope in humanity...

Some poor soul just bought that fake for $341.

That's messed up. Let it be a lesson to those that don't buy from here or an authorized dealer.
